We are nearing the end of the nominations process for the association's incoming Council - the ruling body of our organisation.
All current members should have received information on the Council nominations process prior to Christmas from the Electoral Reform Society, who are overseeing the process.
Nominations close at noon this Thursday, January 28th.
Members can register their nomination online in minutes via the ERS website at http://www.ersvotes.com/hcsa15
The incoming Council will play an important role - its remit will encompass the years that coincide with the remaining phases of the NHS England Five Year Forward View, which will shape the future of the profession and services in England and will be keenly watched in the other nations that make up the UK.
We need council members who can be public opinion-formers, actors within the association, and advocates for their profession and HCSA locally.
Any full member is eligible to put their name forward, with four seats each from the 10 former NHS England regions, two each from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and one national seat each reserved for Specialist Registrar and Non-Career Grade members. Existing Council members are also eligible for reappointment.
The Overton office will be pleased to answer any questions arising from this process.
