Working with policy-makers

The HCSA represent doctors both individually and collectively on a wide variety of employment and healthcare policy issues.

One of the ways we aim to do this is by issuing briefings to Members of Parliament, Assembly Members, and Peers on subjects relevant to the medical profession and improving health.

We ensure your voice is heard and make certain your expertise and knowledge is taken into account by policymakers at the heart of government.

We:

  • Promote and defend our members’ rights and interests in Westminster, and in the devolved nations.
  • Keep politicians of all parties informed of our policy developments and new ideas
  • Co-ordinate the submission of written and oral evidence to statutory committee inquiries
  • Meet with politicians and all-party groups
