Gathering hospital doctors' views on working with associate professions (PAs and AAs)

Many HCSA members currently work or have worked with physician associate (PAs) and/or anaesthesia associates (AAs). Many more hospital doctors may do so in the future.

The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care has has set up an independent review of the PA and AA professions. Chaired by Gillian Leng CBE, this has become known as the Leng Review.

The Leng Review will consider the safety of PA and AA roles, their contribution to multidisciplinary healthcare teams and delivery of good-quality patient care.

HCSA wants to hear from every hospital doctor on this important issue. What are your experiences, thoughts and concerns about working with these associate roles?

These perspectives will inform HCSA's official submission to the Leng Review, as well as our campaigning work and engagement with governments and employers going forward.

It takes less than 5 minutes. Please take the survey now.
