Sensitivity note:This webinar will consider sensitive issues and information that some may find distressing. If you have experienced or witnessed sexual harassment in the course of your employment, please contact HCSA for support.
In a recent HCSA survey of hospital doctors, 70.5% of respondents said they had witnessed or experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. The figure was as high as 78.4% for women doctors.
Yet only one in 10 reported it to their employer. More than half didn’t even know whether their employer had a sexual harassment policy. And of those that did report, 75% felt their employer could have done more.
This expert webinar will cover:
- The extent and character of sexual harassment in hospitals
- How to seek support if you suffer or witness sexual harassment
- New legislation on sexual harassment
- New workplace policies, including the sexual safety charter and NHS England’s sexual misconduct policy
- What needs to change
- Specialised support for women doctors.
There will be a Q&A session, with the opportunity to ask questions anonymously.
