Term: 5 years (fixed-term contract)
Supporter requirements: 2 Ordinary or Retired Members each from at least 3 Districts OR nomination by the Executive Committee
Remuneration: £85,000 plus generous pension
Deadline: 5pm Friday 27th December

HCSA is seeking applications for a new General Secretary to lead the staff team and implement the Executive Committee’s strategic objectives.

WHO CAN APPLY

Under HCSA rules to be eligible for nomination as General Secretary you must either be a member or staff member of the Union, or of any other trade union operating in the health sector.

APPLYING FOR THE ROLE

This is a paid elected role. In order to apply you will need to both:

  • self-nominate via HCSA’s online election portal
  • submit a formal job application for the role to Sharon Stanley at SStanley@hcsa.com

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 27th December.

TERM IN OFFICE AND RE-ELECTION

The role of General Secretary is an elected position with a term of five years, after which they are eligible for re-election.
