Training opportunity: January 15th Hospital Representative Workshop

Book your place

Our workplace representatives play an essential role within HCSA. They support National Officers as our eyes and ears at Trust level and work to maintain our connection to local hospital doctors, for instance by ensuring posters are displayed or assisting with publicising local HCSA initiatives to colleagues.

Attendees to this free one-day course will receive an introduction to developing your role as a local HCSA Workplace Representative and gain a deeper insight into the work of the union locally and nationally.

  • A certificate of attendance will be provided to all participants.
  • Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed for approved attendees on this course.

When and where is it happening?
The training workshop takes place from 9.30am-4.30pm on Wednesday January 15th at The Mechanics Institute in central Manchester – the birthplace of the TUC (Trades Union Congress).

Who is it for?
This workshop is for current HCSA Workplace Representatives who have not yet undergone training, and for those interested in becoming an HCSA Workplace Rep.

What will I learn?
You will gain a greater understanding of HCSA's structure, the services we provide members, recruiting and developing our membership base in NHS organisations, and how we can assist members who need support and help in the future.

The workshop will be interactive and be centred on your learning needs – there will be plenty of time for discussion and conversations and networking with fellow HCSA members.

How do I book?
To find out more or book, contact National Officers Jennie Bremner or Rob Quick via the link below. They will be able to confirm your place and answer any questions you might have.
