HCSA has called on members to consider becoming part of its new constitutional review working group and help forge an association fighting fit for the future.
The decision to launch the review follows significant changes for the organisation, extending membership to Junior Doctors in 2014 and students in 2019.
HCSA is seeking self-nominations from interested members to represent every area of the organisation to steer this project of review and redesign, to encompass:
- Ordinary members
- Council members
- Executive members
- Student Associates
- Fellows
- HCSA staff
A focused project group will be formed to begin this process and complete its work in time for adoption at next year’s HCSA AGM.
HCSA President Dr Claudia Paoloni said: "HCSA has been evolving rapidly in recent years from its origins as an organisation supporting only Consultants and Specialists.
"HCSA aspires to be a modern, democratic organisation which embraces, supports and advocates on behalf of all hospital doctors.
"We are therefore launching a review of the rules and regulations which govern HCSA to ensure they are up to date, clear and properly reflect these aspirations."
If you are interested in supporting HCSA directly as it undertakes this vital piece of work, please fill out the short nomination form by January 31st.
