Following the announcement of the results, HCSA President Dr Naru Narayanan said:
“I am excited to work with an incredibly talented team of doctors from across the UK on HCSA’s new NEC.
“I want to extend my sincere thanks to our outgoing Executive Committee, Council members and General Secretary, Paul Donaldson, for their enormous contributions to our union and to our profession.
“HCSA’s new structure is about giving members greater power within their union and in their own working lives. So most of all I want to thank HCSA members for their participation in this democratic process.
“Now it’s up to all of us as hospital doctors to build a better HCSA and a better future for the medical profession.”
